Getting Here & Accessibility
Is the building wheelchair accessible?
Yes – we have a lift that can bring guests up and down the building. As we are in a very old building the stairs are narrow and windy, therefore feel free to use the lift at anytime.
Is there anywhere to park at the museum?
Unfortunately we do not have a car park, however Trinity street, Fleet street and Brown Thomas car parks are located within a five minute walk
What public transport goes to the Irish Whiskey Museum?
Any buses or trams stopping at College Green, Dame street, Nassau street, D’Olier street or Westmoreland street are within a five minute walk of the museum. Tara street dart station is also located less than a ten minute walk away.

Can I get a drink at the bar before 12:30 on a Sunday?
Unfortunately alcohol cannot be served at a bar on a Sunday until 12:30pm
Can I do a tour without a guide?
All of our tours are fully guided.
Can I book a tour in a different language?
All our tours are guided in English however we do have audio guides in 7 different languages which can be used on the Classic & Premium tours.
Is there a storage space for our luggage while we are on the tour?
You can store your luggage for the duration of your tour in the tourist office below us on College Green. The opening hour for our tourist office is the following:
Monday to Sunday 8:30am to 6pm.
You will need to present your ticket in order to use the service for just €4.
Can whiskey be shipped internationally?
Unfortunately, we do not ship whiskey or merchandise
What time do the tours start at?
The first tour begins at 10:30am everyday.
For the Irish Coffee Masterclass, is there a decaf or dairy free option?
Yes, we have alternative cream and decaf option. Please let us know 24 hours before your tour.
Can I change the time of my tour/upgrade my tour?
Yes, you can change the time at any stage depending on availability by either phoning or emailing. You can upgrade your tour from classic to premium at the reception desk upon arrival.
If I do the tour again, will I be tasting the same whiskeys?
We change our whiskeys in taste every month.
Is the Irish Whiskey Museum a working distillery?
No, we are a museum, telling the unbiased story of Irish Whiskey.
Do I need to pre-book tickets?
We always recommend that you pre-book tickets as there is a limited number of tickets per tour and if you have a preferred time, it is always best to book ahead of time to avoid disappointment
